When I first saw this scribing tool, I wasn't impressed. When I first used it, I was very
impressed! If you ever need to scribe a line from an edge or from a wall, in metric or in inches -- then ScribeALL
does all of that, far better, than any compass style device! The measuring scale on this thing is deceptively brilliant!
If you're scribing from an edge, you hook the ScribeALL over the edge and adjust the slider so the proper measurement
appears on the inside edge of the pencil holder. The center of the pencil will make a mark at exactly the right spot.
If you're scribing from a wall, then adjust the slider so the proper measurement appears on the outside edge of the
pencil holder, and again, the center of the pencil is dead on! Think about it a bit and you'll realize how
convenient and brilliant this is: one scale, two center points.
Loosen the pencil holder and rotate it. The pencil lines up to the ruler, making it fit neatly into
your tool box or belt pouch. This is an all metal Canadian invention that is almost over-built. But the price is right
so I won't complain.

If you've ever needed to scribe a line from an outside edge or inside corner, particularly one that
is curved, irregular or uneven, then you'll be pleased with the ScribeALL. This Canadian made tool is surprisingly easy
and exceptionally effective to use. The arm has a curved toe and a flat heel. To scribe from an outside edge you hook the
arm of the ScribeALL over the edge and adjust the slider (the pencil holder) to the required distance, measuring from
the heel to the inside edge (the left side) of the slider. For an inside corner you press the toe to the edge and adjust
the slider so the required measurement appears on the outside edge (the right side) of the slider. Once you get the hang
of the heel-in toe-out technique, using this tool is a real breeze. I used it recently when fitting a new countertop in
the kitchen. You can also use it for a range of other tasks, including: installing moldings, laying out cabinet hardware,
marking out joints and tracing curves. The tool is durable and well made from anodized aluminum, stainless steel and
solid brass. It's a real bargain. This tool gets a 4-star rating from us. |

As a professional woodworker, I would like to thank you for coming up with the ScribeALL.
I know that there are many ways to scribe, but using the ScribeALL made my job much easier.
I had to match a curved shelf to a curved wall and as you can see in the photos - it was very
quick and easy. |
